Emily and I had a wonderful time with Jill and Nathan and their kids.
We spent almost a week in Delaware. Here are a lot of picture of our trip.
Monday Night:
Thanks to RuthAnn for sharing a buddy pass with us.
We took the red eye Monday night, the flight left at 11:45 pm.
I got Emily in her Jammies, gave her a bottle and we were good to go.
Here she is on the plane..(sorry for the crappy pic..all I had was my cell with me)
She slept most of the way.
Tuesday Morning:
Emily did really well the first leg of the trip.
We arrived in Newark about 5:50 am and had a little lay over.
That was perfect time to have breakfast and get out of jammies.
Our flight left at 9:15 am. We arrived in Washington DC around 11.
Jill picked us up at the airport, what a great reunion.
We got our bags, hit McDonald's on the way out (that was fun huh jill?)
and talked all the way to Delaware. Good times.
Emily and Bryce playing together. They got a long great for the most part. Kids will be kids. It was fun to watch how a boy deals with things vs. how girls deal. Boys are much more aggressive without all the drama. It was kind of nice.
We spent the first night "Yakking" and watching movies.
Wednesday:
Jill took the next day off and we decided to head down to the Shore at Rahobath Beach.
None of my kids have seen the ocean so I was excited to take Emily. Well, needless to say, she didn't like it. It scared her and she cried most of the time.
It was a nice sunny day.

Thursday:
We spent the whole next day in Jill's store. It was like old times. She put me right to work. It was so fun. I am so proud of her and all she has done with the store. I ended up spending a few bucks which i got a ton of clothes.
Friday:
The following day, Jill had to work half the day and I watched the kids. We had fun being together. We did dishes and laundry and helped with cleaning so that when Jill got home we could head out to Bylers. Bylers is a country store that I love to go to (so does Barb Jill's mom).
At Bylers they have a huge play area that they let the kids play on. So I took the opportunity to snap some pictures. Bryce is ALL BOY.
Sophia is such a good girl and a big help with the little kids. Yes that is real red hair.

I was also on Amish Watch.
I totally love and respect the Amish people.
But I wanted to show Blake that there are Amish in Delaware.

We had a long day but it was really fun. I told Jill that her and I switched places. I always wanted to live in the country and now I am living in the big city and she is a country girl. Funny how your life turns out.
Saturday:
Our final Day with the Badell family was spent Driving to Chincoteague.
Chincoteague is a small community off the island of Assateague. Two heards of Wild ponies make Assateague island their home. Every year these ponies are rounded up and "swim" across the Assateague Channel to Chincoteague for the internationally recognized Pony Penning and Auction. This is held every July. We were a little early.
There are some ponies that are around Chincoteague for you to get up close to. Emily was in heaven. I swear she is an animal lover.

Funny story: Emily is just learning to talk. I have been trying to teach her to say Nathan and Jill. On our trip on saturday we were trying to get her to say Nathan. I asked her to try to say Nate..still couldn't say it. So I said, "how about Nate Train" (a nickname of nathan) and Emily said, "Choo Choo?" Then I asked her to say Jill and she said, "Chip?"
So now She calls Nathan and Jillie, Choo choo and chip."
The ponies are seen wondering the beaches and trails on the island. Theses are small, sturdy shaggy horses and some are pregnant. While they appear tame they are actually wild.

We thought we would try the beach again. Today was a very cold and windy day.

The Assateague Lighthouse is located on the Virginia portion of Assateague Isand. It was constructed in 1833 and has twin rotating lights. The lights can be seen 19 miles out to sea. The Light house stands 142 feet high.
This island is a Wildlife Refuge.
I love it. I want to take Blake here.

After a long ride back to Baltimore, The Badells dropped me off at my hotel.
It was such a sad parting of friends. I love and miss Jillie so much.
I can't wait to see them in the summer when they come.
My hotel was a beautiful room. Emily and I settled in quickly.
We had an early flight and had to get up at 3 am East coast time.
Sunday:
I got up and out of the hotel by 4 am to catch our flight to Houston by 5:45.
We met RuthAnn and Todd in Houston and Prayed to get on the next flight to SLC.
We made it by the skin of our teeth.
Emily was excited to be home.
She hugged Clyde first thing.
Her sisters where happy we were home and Blake was happy we made it back safe.
Thanks again to the Badells (Choo choo and Chip), my family and babysitters who helped me make this trip possible.
I love you guys.

Glad you had such a great trip. I was sad when your post ended. I would love to see all pictures. Makes me want to go there someday.
