Work & Home

Well, Here are a few pictures of where I work. I have a nice office with a desk and a great view of the U. I really like it here at my new job. Its makes home life so much better when mommy is happy.
Speaking of home, our offer on a new place has been excepted. We hope to close September 22nd and move in by the end of the month. The place is really cute. Its 5 bedrooms 3 full baths. It has RV parking and a nice size yard for the kids. The area seems to have a lot of kids in it which is good. And we are right across the street from the church. Now we just Have to sell our house...Grrr.

Conversation with a 4 year old

Grandma-"Gracie are you okay?"
Gracie-"Yeah, but see this thing in the back of my throat?" (mouth opened wide, tongue covered in chips)
Grandma- "Yeah, what about it?"
Gracie-"Its like a finger. It's there to point the food where to go."

I never thought of it like that..

Simple times

Juggling kids, home, husband, work and church seems like a crazy life. But, as I sit here at working waiting for my Mom to call about my dads surgery, I can't help but reflect on life. Growing up as a teen in the 80's life was simple. We loved our MTV, ET and Michael Jordan. We lived for bold colored socks that matched every outfit and our hair moto was "the bigger the better". Pegged legged pants and pennies in our loafers, Izod shirts and large combs in our back pockets for our feathered hair. I loved my velcro walet and my Vans (I had red checkered ones with strawberries around the bottom) I idolized my older brothers because they were captains of the basketball team or the most popular in school. We drove old beater cars and hung out at the local 7-11. Yeah those where simple times. Breakfast club times. Now I watch Spongebob and Elmo, I sing "I love you" (barney). I am lucky to find any socks and if I do I can't promise you they would match. My hair is usually pulled back away from my face and away from little fingers that like to pull. I have a diaper in my purse as we speak and the floor of my mini van is covered with crackers and fruit snacks. I enjoy giving my kids a bath, hugging my husband and telling scary stories in the car on long trips. I have been gifted in making the worlds best mac and cheese (thanks to Kraft) and can make a mean grilled cheese sandwhich. I still idolize my brothers but not because they are popular in school or play sports but because they are wonderful fathers of their own. I idolize them for their patience, love, and laughter. I am very proud of my brothers. Now we hang out watching football, talking about real estate and eating fried twinkies. Maybe now is more simple...I guess its all how you look at it...

Life...

This quote was sent to me today and I just find it so fitting...enjoy!!

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, wine (or diet coke) in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO what a ride!"

Happy 4th Birthday Gracie!!

4 years ago tonight, I held in my arms a beautiful red headed baby. Alone in my hospital room I remember thinking, "Its just you and me sweet heart." At that moment a friendship was born. I often reflect back on a country song by Martina McBride. How fitting it is for Gracie and I. She truly was sent to rescue me. I love you Marjorie Grace. "In my daughter's eyes, I am a hero. I am strong and wise and I know no fear. But the truth is plain to see She was sent to rescue me I see who I wanna be In my daughter's eyes. In my daughter's eyes Everyone is equal. Darkness turns to light And the world is at peace. This miracle God gave to me Gives me strength when I am weak. I find reason to believe In my daughter's eyes. And when she wraps her hand around my finger How it puts a smile in my heart Everything becomes a little clearerI realize what life is all about. Is hanging on when your heart has had enough, Is giving more when you feel like giving up. I've seen the light, In my daughter's eyes. In my daughter's eyes, I can see the future. A reflection of who I am And what will be. And though she'll grow and someday leave Maybe raise a family When I'm gone I hope you'll see How happy she made me. And I'll be there In my daughter's eyes "
Happy Birthday Gracie. I love you!

House for Sale and then some

Well our house is finally up for sale. They came and dug a hole and plopped in a pole and we are pretty excited about it. Now we are in the process of finding a new place to grow. We have found 3 we like and out of those 3 we found one we really like so we'll see how it goes.
The girls are growing fast. Gracie will be 4 next Sunday. She is really exited since she gets to go to school (Preschool) Lilly is also growing. She is so funny and not my little girl anymore. She loves her baby sister and is so sweet to her. Emily had her 2 month dr. apt. She is looking great. She is nearly 12 pounds and 23 inches long. She has dark red hair (what she has of it) and will have blue eyes. When she giggles she has two huge dimples like her daddy. What a good girl. All the girls are good girls and we are blessed to have them in our lives. Here are some pictures of the girls. One is of them after tubby time getting ready for bed. We have some of Emily and Lilly and also one of the girls with Kathy. Kathy is a dear friend of our family and we love spending time with her. She loves to spoil the girls and they just love showing off for her. We love you Kat.
