This week has really been a touching week for me as a mom. Blake took the week off to go to St. George to visit his mom and gave me the wonderful opportunity to spend some mommy time with the girls. As the four of us laid on the couch tonight watching the Osmond 50th anniversary on PBS they sang a song that touched me so. My heart nearly burst and the tears just came and I realized how blessed I am to have the children I have. No matter how they came I am glad they are here. And I am glad they are mine. I know I am not a perfect mom. I know that I do things I am not proud of. But I do know that I thank God for my kids.
If it weren't for kids have you ever thought
There wouldn't be no Santa Clause
Look what the stork just brought
Thank God for Kids
We'd all live in a quiet house
Without Big Bird or a Mickey Mouse
And Kool-aid on the couch
Thank God for Kids
Thank God for kids there's magic for a while
A special kind of sunshine in a smile
Do you ever stop to think? or wonder why?
The nearest thing to Heaven is a child
Daddy how does this thing fly?
A hundred other where's and why's
You really don't know but we try
Thank God for Kids
When you look down in those trustin eyes
That look to you, you realize
Its love that you can't buy
Thank God for Kids
Thank God for there's magic for a while
A special kind of sunshine in a smile
Do you ever stop to think? or wonder why?
The nearest thing to Heaven is a child
When you get down on your knees tonight
To thank the Lord for his guiding light
And pray they turn out right
Thank God for Kids
I love you girls. With all my heart, for all my life.
