My kids in the responsible hands of my family....Y fans

Merry Christmas to all...

Merry (belated) Christmas Friends and family. We had a really nice holiday season and hope everyone else did as well. This post is just full of pictures so you'll just have to try to make it through.

Emily and Lilly were goofing off in the car on Christmas Eve day while I finished up a few last min things. What silly girls.

Kunka really wants to blow bubbles. She just got the chewing gum with out swallowing thing down. This is a pic of her "blowing" a bubble. And this is her after she blew so hard it hit the back of the front seat in the van and I told her no more gum.

Did you know that Baby Jesus and Mary and Joesph where Ute Fans???

Here is Kunka waiting to go to the Olsen Family Christmas Party(i totally forgot my camera so I don't have pictures from there. ) Every year the Ross and Marge Olsen Family, (there are only 36 of us) get together for food, fun and gifts. This year we had all but 2 i think. It was really fun and I think everyone that helped did a great job. Some of the traditions in our family is we each get one name of a sibling and buy for the family, we all bring starters to eat and the Best part of the night all the kids look forward to is the Grandma Jammies. My mom buys jammies for all the grand kids and they all run and put them on (even the 15yr olds) and that pretty much ends the night. The kids are all dressed for Santa and they can now go home and go to bed. Here are my girls in their Grandma Jammies

Ready to go to bed in hopes that St. Nicholas soon will be there.

Emily and the gifts. She has been hauling them around for weeks now.

And Santa Did Come (notice the big monkey..we couldn't find a curious George but we did find an enormous monkey instead she loves it)

Here we are opening gifts

Gracie happy she got "spinners" (like Healeys)

Here is Lilly opening her gift from Gracie, a princess scooter.

Kunka got a new car seat (how did Santa know)

Lilly got a new baby stroller for her new babies...but Kunka got a little stuck trying to get in it.
Poor Kunka

Blake Lilly and Kunka opening gifts...Everyone was happy with what they got. Blake got a bunch of ute stuff he really wanted (again, that Santa is amazing) After presents, an awesome breakfast and playing Emily was totally tired. so she and the monkey went to nappy time. So cute.

We hope everyone got what they always wanted..I know I did, I got the love and health of a wonderful family. What more could I want. (oh and a spaghetti Pot..thanks lance and Kristi)

makes you think...

When I had Emily, I wasn't quite sure whom she resembled most. A few months ago, I found some old pictures of my nephew that were sent to me while I was on my mission. (that was over 14 years ago) Thumbing through these pictures I know now that Emily takes after my side of the family. Here are some pictures of Justice and Kunka about the same age.

Justice is now 15 and he and Kunka still look like they could be brother and sister.

Kunka and her club

Emily came out of surgery with flying colors. The surgery itself took a total of 12 mins start to finish. Dr. Lindley said she did really well and that as soon as they opened up the sheath her finger went "boing" straight up. She has to be in her bandage for about a week. And then we can have her stitches removed and she should be just fine. The only hard thing is to find stuff for her to wear that fits over that club.
Here she is after a long day.
She still does everything she normally does. Climbs, plays, hits the dog. She doesn't really like having her hand wrapped but what can you do. (photo courtesy of Gracie)Yes it has been one day and the club is dirty. But what can you do with a busy 18 month old. We are glad that things went so well. Thanks for your prayers.

I thought this was funny. This is for my brother Jamie...Have fun on your cruise.

Clyde photo opt

I thought I would take a few pics of the girls by the tree. But, Clyde kept sticking his box nose in there. The girls thought it was totally funny.

Surgery Date

We have Emily all ready for Mondays surgery. We check her in at 6:30am at Alta View Hospital. Her surgery is the first one of the day so that is always good. She should be in surgery at 7:30 and out and in recovery by 9. It's short stay so we can take her home soon after that. I would like to have her have a blessing Sunday night for those of you who can help with that I'll give you a call. We pray that all will be well. We are confident that things will be since its such a simple procedure. But if you can still keep her in your prays that would be much appreciated.
