36 years ago today, my mom gave birth to a beautiful little Redheaded Girl. The only girl they would have. They named her: Shanna Lee Olsen. Yes, I was born into this world. And how thankful I am to have been born to Goodly Parents. A little bit about me:
I was born May 18, 1971 to Ross and Marjorie Olsen in Salt Lake City, UT at the LDS Hospital. At that time I had 3 older brothers, Ross Jr. Lance and Steve. We lived in SLC, Utah.
That Day in History: The-4th ABA Championship: Utah Stars beat Kentucky Colonels, 4 games to 3 - Bulgarian constitution goes into effect - Pres Nixon rejects 60 demands of Congressional Black Caucus - Stanley Cup: Montreal Canadiens beat Chicago Blackhawks, 4 games to 3 - Vampire rapist Wayne Bodens last victim found. Richard Nixon was President. The price of a stamp was .08 cents
We moved to the Avenues of SLC soon after I was born and I lived there until I was 7. We then had added another Baby Jeff (Happy Birthday Yesterday Jeffrey). We moved to our Hidden Oaks address and two more brothers were born, Jamie and Jeremy. There we lived until long after my mission.
I served a Mission in Harrisburg Pa. I loved it there and still have many close friends from there. I was able to see 9 people enter the waters of baptism and I had 9 companions whom I love. After my mission I moved back to PA for a time then returned home after my Families Business ended. I worked and played and dated.
I had Marjorie Gracie at age 31 on Aug 13, 2002. She was my savior. I met and fell in love with Blake Watkins Sept 10th, 2002 which we met through friends. He took me out for a BBQ lunch. Gracie was our chaperon. He proposed to me on Feb. 10th 2003 and we married in the Salt Lake Temple, May 10th of that same year where I became Shanna Lee Watkins. Blake adopted Grace on May 19, 2004 and we were sealed to her June 19th 2004 in the Salt Lake Temple. November 3, 2004 we were blessed with Baby #2 Lillian LaRae and with our 3rd June 7th 2006 Emily Jill. I am so blessed to be here. My life is a well lived one. Thank you mom and dad for giving me life so that I might live.
Happy Birthday to me! I know I am old but I am happy. And I am proud to say that I am 36. I earned every one of those years.
