Gracie's birthday Weekend

~~The Birth day~~
Happy Birthday Gracie. Here are her pictures from her weekend of fun.
Gracie said she wanted to wake up and have red balloons for her birthday. So Blake and I blew up red balloons for her to wake up to. She was happy.
She also wanted some sort of Pet for her birthday. A fish was the best thing.
Here is Gracie with Grandma LaRaes birthday package. Grandma came up for Troys surgery and it just happened to be over Gracie's Birthday so we waited for her to come so Gracie could open her gift in front of her.
Here she is opening her card with Daddy, Grandma and Lilly.
Grandma gave her a new Hanna Montana outfit. Gracie LOVES it. Strike a Pose.
That night she chose to go to Mimi's Cafe for dinner. She ordered Spaghetti...but got a tummy ache half way through dinner...not good.
Emily enjoying her Root beer.
Lilly waiting for her cheese burger and applesauce. Happy Lilly.
Gracie got more sick as the night went on so we had to pack up early and head home. But it was good regardless.

~~THE CAKE~~
I had a thought that I would try to make a fun cake for Gracie's birthday party on Sunday. Sometimes you're not sure what your talents might be until you try. Well, I don't know if my talents are really making cakes but it was fun trying....
I did a chocolate 3 layer cake with Peanut butter filling.
I also covered it in fondant. It was my first time with fondant. Its harder than it looks.
Anyway, Gracie wanted a Tinker Bell type cake..so here is my finished product.
And who was there to help me the whole way...Yep Emily.
~~ The Party~~

Sunday, we had a little get together with family for just cake and Ice cream and presents. Here are some of the kids that came to play.Gracie was the first and last to take a whack at the Pinata. She smacked it good. The dogs got into the mix. (Barney, Clyde and Rock my brother in laws dog)After Pinata hitting it was time for presents, cake and Ice Cream. Getting ready for the blowing. See Maggie in the back ground cover Abby's mouth so she wouldn't blow out Gracies candle.
The Blow. Make a good wish. Here is Lilly hanging out with us. Lilly went to the doctor again and they said she is still growing. The nutritionist wants to put her on a 1200 calorie diet and see if that helps her weight. By the way, 1 cup of prepared mac and cheese is 400 calories...HELLO!!!We had a really nice time on Sunday. It was perfect weather. Thanks to everyone that came. You helped make Gracie's birthday awesome.
