"I'm a Fox" - Gracie

Gracie and I had the opportunity to walk over to her school and have her Kindergarten assessment Monday. So Gracie did a photo diary about it. (Gracie took most of the pics)
Here she is walking...her school is about a block away from daycare. This picture she took of the school and the faculty parking lot. Lots of cars in the lot she thought that was cool.
The school she will be going to is Fox Hills. She is excited to be "a fox"..."and mom you could be a Foxy mommy." SWEET!!
This is her in front of her classroom. Room 6. She looks so grown up.
Here is her name. We have since told the teacher that she likes to go by Gracie although she knows her first name is Marjorie.
self photo. Goof

she thought it was really cool that they had little sinks just for her. So we took a picture infront of her little sink.
And finally...TA-DA....Miss Banks. Her teacher. (can we say young!!)

Gracie did really well on her Assessment. She did better on Math, colors and shapes then she did on Reading..but that will come in time. I can't believe Gracie will start school on the 5th of September. Wow time flies.

Anne's Shower

This weekend I was lucky enough to put aside Motherhood for a few hours and spend that time with my mom and Sisters-in-law at a shower for the newest member of our family, Anne. We decided it would be more fun to have a lunch then to sit around and do stupid party games. So we all met at Mimi's for a yummy lunch.
Here are the Olsen Women (well I was an Olsen once) .
Kristi, Me, Ashlee, RuthAnn, Jenny, Tammy, Anne and Mom.
I don't think we have ever had all the women together in a picture without children.
Speaking of children...
We were also pleased to have Maddie and Eleanor join us for lunch as well. (oh and Jamie)The girls really added a spark to the shower. We love them.Kristi and Jenny ready to order. Kristi, Jenny & RuthAnn Ready to order.
Don't they look Great.
They are part of the "Get Skinny Mommy" weight loss program. Way to go Girls!!Ellie eating noodles....see spark.
Maddie and her noodles. The best part is Jamie smiling at her.
After eating it was gift time. The girls really got into that. Anne got a lot of nice things. Here is Anne and Ellie. We are thrilled to have them part of our family.Yet, in the middle of all this joy and wedding bliss is a very sad reality. Our sweet Maddie will be moving to Atlanta with her mom on Sept. 3rd. This sadness is heart breaking. Jamie is a great dad. He loves he daughter. And to see them be torn from each other is sad.
We will miss your sweet smile, bright eyes and tender heart.
We will miss you Sweet Madeline.

P.S. ~jenny~ our prayers are with you tomorrow.

TKO!!

Yesterday while sitting at work, I got a phone call from our wonderful Day Care provider. She informed me that there was a little "Brawl" at Daycare. I guess a boy there, threw a Lego wagon at Lilly's face...resulting in...(see below)

Her tooth being Knocked out. Root and all. Could we be so lucky to have it be the tooth she chipped at 18 months. NO! It had to be the one right next to it. So now she has a hole and a fang. She is pretty proud of it actually. The sad thing is she'll not have a tooth there for 3 years since she is only 2 1/2. Gracie keeps checking her teeth to see if hers are loose. No sign of that...yet.

Happy Birthday Gracie...5 Years old.

Yesterday, Gracie turned 5 years old. I can't even believe it. My life has come so far in 5 years. We had a weekend of Partying. It started with a Big family party and Uncle Jeff and Aunt Jenny's house on Saturday. Kira was also celebrating her 12th birthday. I asked Grace what type of birthday cake she wanted and she said a Barbie doll cake. Oh great, i thought. I am not a cake decorator at all. I have never claimed to be.
But, for my baby girl, I tried it.

The Barbie Cake
It says Gracie and Kira (not shown)
"Why are her arms out stretched?"
you might ask...well because when I made her top i had to have her arms out of the way. But when I tried to put down her arms the pieces started falling off of the dress.
So there you have it.
Gracie Loved her Barbie Cake. Which made me happy.
We had a great time and Jeffs. We had Pizza and salad and soda.
Yummy. Emily was the pizza thief. She would walk around to all the plates and take a slice...Here are all the grandkids (minus Justice) Lets see. on the front row..Gracie, Tember, Lilly, Olivia, Maddie, Elenor, Second Row sort of: Bayley, Joe, Parker, Dylan, Kunka Third sort of row: Becca/Itsy, Jordan, Kira/Abby, Jake & Maggie and Todd in the back. What a group.
I love this picture of Anne (Jamies Love nugget getting married Sept. 1st) and her daughter Elenor.
So tender.
The Swimmers
Dylan (Steves Youngest)Jer and Ashlee (Becca pouting in the back ground)
Grandma and Abby *Love this picture*Gracie opening her gifts-Barbie from Uncle Jeff: "How did he know I love Barbie?"And her opening Kunka's gift: "oh my gosh, another Barbie, Yeah!" And Lilly got her a Brat Doll (I guess I didn't get a picture of but oh well) and Grandma and Pappa Olsen got her a sleeping bag.
Grandma LaRae got her some clothes.
"Blowing" out the candles. It was windy so there wasn't really anything to blow out.
We had a lot of fun that day.
Monday, Gracie's official birthday, I took the day off to spend with her. She got up and we went to the park around 11.
Emily (with real shoes on) had fun climbing around. She has no fear.Gracie choose her outfit today. Brats shirt, green skirt and a turquoise belt with her sparkle flip flops. she also wanted her hair curly (so that is why her hair was in braids in earlier pictures)The played really well together. Lilly is the mother of the group. Making sure everyone is okay.
And she hates shoes almost as much as I do. After the Park and Lunch Gracie and I went to the Mall to get her birthday Mani and Pedi.
Here she is waiting and waiting at California Nails in the Fashion Place Mall. Wink Wink. After an hour or so wait she finally went back. They put her in a big Pedicure chair and started working on her. She had a good time being pampered. The color she chose was Pink passion. with a pink flower on the big toe. Pretty. After hanging at the mall with mom we went back and picked up the rest of the family. Gracie LOVES the Mayan...so she wanted to go there for her birthday. We parked walked over and..its closed on Monday. So instead we went to Spaghetti Mamas.
She ordered Spaghetti with meatballs and lots of root beer. Lilly ordered the same and Emily shared my lasagna (not on the diet mind you) and Blake's Seafood Linguine. We finished off with cherry/chocolate ice cream. It was a really great birthday. I love you Gracie.
You are my special buddy.
Happy Birthday Princess!!
