Its nearly 8 am on a beautiful spring day. The girls seem to be sleeping in and it has given me a few moments to breath and reflect on how blessed we are. For starters, I have two beautiful HEALTHY girls who love to laugh, giggle and play. They are good girls. Mischievous at time but generally very good. Blessing 1 & 2. I have a wonderful strong loving husband who is also Healthy. He works hard and loves us beyond measure. He is generally very good too. Blessing 3
Since my unfortunate Lay off from work, our little family has been pretty stressed and tight with our budget. Oh don't get me wrong, I have loved staying home with my children and catching up on time lost. Blessing number 4 But, that still doesn't take a way the pressures of money. But the other day I was reminded that the Lord is in control.
Lilly Bug needed some formula and diapers, essential in her little life. I was a little worried how that was going to come about since Blake didn't get paid until this coming Friday. On Sunday, after returning home from my YW meeting. There on our front porch was a box with two cans of Formula in it. It was from a member of our ward. She said she didn't use that kind of formula and thought we could use it. Blessing number 5. The next day after the girls and I returned from a day with Grandma there was another package on our porch. It was an opened pack of diapers...Size 3. For Lillybug. And a message on my machine from a lady in the YW presidency saying she hopes we can use these diapers since HER daughter doesn't fit into this size any more. Blessing number 6. What a wonderful thing it is to see God take care of us in small ways. I guess as long as we look we will see how blessed we are all the time. Sometimes its not THAT obvious.
I know that I am watched over and protected. I know that as long as I am faithful, my family will be blessed. What a wonderful comfort.

Stay at home mom
Well,
Here I am. I am now a Stay at home mommy for a while. I was unexpectedly laid off from my job of 8 1/2 years. I am so sad because I will miss my friends I have made there. But, I am so thrilled to be home with my kids and hubby.
When I told the Peanut I was going to be home with her for a while she chanted "No more work! No more Work." And then I chanted, "No More Diapers...No more Diapers" now maybe she can get potty training one on one. Let us pray.
The other day I was running around doing some errands. She had fallen asleep in her car seat. She was asleep for about an hour. When she finally woke up she said, "Mommy!! I am back. I am back." I guess she went to La La Land. She is a joy.

Its not Charlottes Web
The Peanut is deathly scared of Spiders. We all know that (daddy mommy and lillybug). Last night, while playing in her backyard sand pile, the Daddy wanted Peanut to come in for a bath. It was getting late and a little chilly and she had been playing in her sand pile for a good hour. It WAS time to come in. So daddy yells down to Gracie, "Honey, its time to come in now." Well of course she yelled up to Daddy on the deck, "No!! I am okay dad I am just playing" "Sweetheart, you need to come inside. Its getting late and mommy is going to be home from Young women's any minute." the Daddy calls back to her. She again says, "no thanks daddy, I'm okay." Well the Daddy was starting to get frustrated. He could see thunder clouds rolling in and the thought of the mommy (that would be me) saying, "Honey, you didn't even get Peanut in the tub while I was gone?" was echoing in his head. So Again, he hollered down to Gracie again, "Marjorie Gracie!!! You get up here right now or you'll be in trouble." Now with this child, saying her full name doesn't really work all that well. She still didn't come up and in for a bath. What else could the Daddy do? He had to pull out the big guns, "Marjorie Grace, you better get up stairs right now before The spiders come out." That did it. The poor, scared child shot out of her sand pile in white face terror. She started screaming that the Spiders were going to get her and that Daddy needed to come down and pick her up "RIGHT NOW!!!" because she couldn't move without the spiders getting her. NICE HONEY!!! Well, she did come up and she did get in the tubbie. I don't know if she'll ever venture into her sand pile again.

6 months old and giggling
Sooner or later I know I will get some pictures of my little girls. I have been asked by a few people (okay my brothers in law) where the pictures are. I guess its easier to read pictures than to sit and read entries (just kidding)
Well, Lillybug turned 6 months old yesterday. I can't believe it. She is getting so big. She has learned how to do so many things. She has been teething for 3 months with no sign of a tooth but boy does that girl have drool. She is even getting a little rash in the rolls of her neck from all the spit. She is also learning to sit up. She will sit there and play for at least 20 mins. She really only topples over when Barney (the dog) runs by and gives her a quick lick or when Peanut comes over and takes over the play area. Other than that she'll sit and play content for (as of today) 20 mins. Its great to watch. Lately, the best thing for me is to try to make Lillybug laugh. Once you get her going you can't help but laugh with her. Its like a chain reaction. You laugh, then she laughs which makes you laugh that makes her laugh. Its great fun! And if your lucky while playing you might get to see the flood gates of drool open.
We are off to the doctors today for Lillybugs wellness visit and round of shots. I think its one of the worst things for a parent to do when its time to get your babies shots. You have to take them into the room of torture where you have to hold them down and whisper in their little ears that everything is going to be okay while the nurse fills up the two needles with liquid. Then with out warning to their little souls she shoots them in their chubby legs twice. Then that look, that look that just breaks your heart, comes across their little sweet faces that says, "mommy, why did YOU hurt me." The last time I took Gracie in to get her shots she cried out.."Mommy, I have been a good girl. I am a good girl!!" Terrible.
Lets hope it goes better than it has in the past.

Sunday's and our Designated Pew
Peanut is a very active two nearly three year old that just LOVES to tell on anyone who might be doing something wrong or that is different. For example, she sees a heavy set person in Wal-mart she has to yell out, "Mommy that lady is fat!" or if she sees someone picking his nose in his Yellow VW bug next to us at the stop light she'll say, "Oh mommy, that man is naughty, he's picking his nose. oooo gross." Needless to say the window on both vehicles were down. My sweet daughter always seems to find the best times to be obvious. A few Sunday ago was no different at all. After the trial of trying to get two little girls and a hubby pressed and dressed to go to church happy. We finally made it to our designated Pew. I pulled all the quiet (bribe) things out of the church bag (i.e.: Dora snack packs, string cheese, Scooby-Doo coloring book and colored pencils) and settled down for our 1 and a half meeting. Things were going fine. The Peanut was coloring and eating her snacks while trying her hardest to stay quiet. Lillybug was sleeping soundly in her fathers arms. Phew I could breath..all was well. Just then in the most quiet part of the service my sleeping 6 month old red head daughter lets out a baby fart. My hubby and I smile at each other over the cuteness of her little diaper fart (oh so cute). Then it happens, my 2 nearly 3 year old Peanut YELLS out at the top of her little lung ,"Oh Mommy, you Farted!!!" I quickly turned to the Peanut red faced and whispered, "shhhh sweetie, the baby has gas is all." with sheer positivity (is that a word?) she says to me, with hands on hips, "Yeah right mom...(attitude)" I looked around hoping no one heard her honesty (not that she was honest in saying I had farted...It was the baby, I swear!!) when I found 5 rows up, back and to the side of us...People where giggling and trying themselves to be quiet without bursting out in profound laughter.
Why do kids have such impeccable timing?

Pink, Ponytails, Giggles and Girls
Well, here were are...Our little family which consists of the cute "Daddy". He's a hard working, strong, kind, patient, loving man who loves his girls more than he loves football. (which says a lot) (go Utes!) This family is his whole life. He has the opportunity with his work schedule to be home at least 2-3 times a week with the girls. He does a fabulous job taking care of the girls. He is wonderful and laid back, protective and sensitive to us all. Daddy loves to stay busy with work and Church (He is in the Sunday School Presidency). He also loves football and camping Football and working out, Diet Pepsi and oh yeah, FOOTBALL. We absolutely love the Daddy.
I am the "Mommy". I am in love with the cute Daddy and also in love with our two beautiful Girls. I do all mommy related things: laundry, cleaning, dusting, walking the dog, getting everyone up and going in the morning, Ponytails and braids and Tubbies ect. Plus I am in charge of games, play time, story time and all around fun. I, too, love to stay busy with working full time, church (I am in the Young Women Presidency) and being a mommy.
"The Girls"would be our two beautiful daughters Gracie who I affectionately call The Peanut and Lillian who is known as The Ladybug or the Lillybug (Lillybuggy by her sister).
Gracie is 2 nearly 3 and very very busy. She is a lot like the mommy, a little sassy at times and very stubborn most of the time. She loves to laugh and play, color and draw, and she loves her baby sister. Gracie is very smart which makes her a little mischievous at times.
Lillybug is 6 months old. She is a lot like her daddy. She seems to be a little more laid back, patient and calm. She takes things as they come and is free to give smiles to anyone who wants them. She loves to jabber and drool. And she thinks her hands and feet are the funniest things ever. (hey she is only 6 months old, what do you expect) Lillybug is so sweet and such a snuggler but, there is something about her that tells me she is going to have a sassy attitude when she is older.
Could it be the red hair? We'll see..
We are a happy family!
Life is good.
